Coles Bay is a pretty, small fishing village that overlooks Great Oyster Bay, and the Tasman Sea on the edge of Freycinet National Park. Various types of accommodation from cottages to campsites are available here.
Coles Bay makes a good base for exploring the area's parks, beaches, bays, inlets and lagoons. In the spring, whales are often seen offshore on the migratory path to the Southern Ocean. An adventurous way to explore the area is to take on a four wheel drive or Quad bike tour.
