LOCATION: Weipa, Cape York, Far North Queensland

FURTHER INFORMATION: I was working at a bauxite mine in Weipa- a little know place on the farthest northern tip of Australia, essentially filled with crocodiles, red dust, a lot of big machines, a nearby Aboriginal community and not much else. My teenage sister thought she’d found a winner! There were only a few stores in the town, with most catering more for industrial equipment and hardwares than cityfolk, but the home brew store was a definite attraction!
