The reality is it is more important than we ever envisaged at beginning of our new business venture. We are a 3.5 star apartment complex located on the border or Alexandra Headland and Maroochydore only 100 meters from the beach. Our core business is family oriented holiday packages and short breaks, we appeal also to the weekend drive market being ideally located right in the tourist hub of this area, literally surrounded by clubs, bars and restaurants. The web site that we inherited was a confusing collection of poor quality images that had somehow been thrown together over the years, the site was a mess and had to go one way or the other. The only thing the site did was rank fairly well in the search engines, we at least could capitalize on that. I spent months researching various web site formats, most sites in the accommodation industry could be described as “samey”. However after sometime I found a basic layout look and feel that I wanted my site to emulate, created a story board, gathered some pictures then set about finding someone, some company to turn the dream into reality. The team from Australian Explorer impressed me with their passion for what they are doing and my wife and I finally decided that we would run with them. They were able to interpret my layout and wishes to the point that once presented with the first draft we could not fault. Everything we wanted was there, added to some creative prose I wrote over the months of development that engages the reader we believe we now have a web site that not only is visually entertaining, is informative and actually sells. Now about to enter our second year and armed with the results of a survey we recently conducted of our clients by e-mail we are set to further enhance the site and have engaged Australian Explorer to handle the SEO development."
