The Kapunda Breed Show is held annually and comprises of 12 different breeds of horses performing at their best. Some competing Breed Associations are- Australian Pony Stud Book Ponies, Riding Stud Book Ponies, Minature Horses and Ponies, Palouse Ponies, Andalsuian Horses, Warmbloods, Percherons and Clydesdales. At this years festival we have the Mind Body and Spirit Fair, The Storytellers Guild telling fascinating stories, Bands, Musicians, a Street Parade, Stalls, Fun and Laughter. We also have a singing competition with monetary prizes.

The Kapunda and Light Agricultural Show is an annual show catering for all the community. There are competitions, sideshows, stalls, displays and entertainment.
Hall exhibits include crafts, flowers, cooking, handicrafts and wool all available for public view before official judging. Other exhibits include horses in action, animal nursery, vintage cars and tractors and musical entertainment.
