Travel from Perth to Nambung National Park to explore Western Australia's unique limestone formations the 'Pinnacles'. See amazing wildlife, explore the mysterious Pinnacles Desert, enjoy some 4WD fun on the sand dunes of Lancelin and try your hand at sandboarding. Highlights of this tour are the Giant Sand Dunes at Lancelin, the Pinnacles, the koalas and beautiful native plants.
Departing Perth we head to Caversham Wildlife Park for the opportunity to see koalas and other Australian native wildlife up close and personal. There is even a chance to have your picture taken with a cuddly koala. We then head north to Cervantes, a small fishing village, stopping to admire Western Australia’s rugged landscape come alive with a profusion of wildflowers (in season, June – November).
After lunch we continue on to view the captivating, mysterious expanse of the Pinnacles Desert. You’ll have ample time to wander through the thousands of limestone spires that rise from the desert’s yellow sands. Located in the heart of Nambung National Park, the pinnacles are one of Australia’s most impressive and unique landscapes.
Leaving the Pinnacles, we head off the sealed roads and onto the bumpy bush tracks and sand dunes around Lancelin for some 4WD fun. Keep your eyes peeled for kangaroos, emus and wildflowers as we bounce down the track towards the majestic pure white sand dunes of Lancelin.
Once out on the dunes, take a few heart stopping runs down the steep sides of the huge sand waves in our 4WD truck, then its time for some sand surfing on our custom made sandboards (optional – no extra cost). Back into the vehicle, we make one last roadhouse stop as before return to Perth at approximately 8.00pm. (L)
