Soar like an eagle high above the picturesque Camden valley, with views to the Sydney skyline and the rugged Blue Mountains, enjoying the unique thrill of silent flight that only gliding can provide.
A great way to get hands on experience of what gliding is all about. Your flight begins with a short safety and operational briefing with your pilot covering the glider, phases of the flight and answering any questions you might have. You will then climb to approximately 3500 feet above Camden in a state of the art self launching glider. Once you reach 3500 feet your pilot will switch of the engine and you will be soaring like a bird.
During your flight you will be able to take the controls at certain stages under the guidance of your instructor to experience for yourself how easily the glider can be controlled, or you can just sit back and enjoy the view. After seeing the sights of the surrounding area you will glide back to the airport for a landing.

We operate on weekends weather permitting. Flight duration for this experience is approximately 20 - 25 minutes, however, flight duration is determined by the prevailing weather conditions and launch height. Due to the nature of gliding, flight times can vary from flight to flight.

The price quoted is for one person. Your briefing and flight will be one-on-one with an instructor, however spectators are welcome and there will be club members and other passengers on the airfield at the same time particularly on days with good weather.
GUIDELINES
There is a 100 kg weight limit and children under 18 years of age require parental permission (to be signed on site). You must be over 12 years of age to do this activity. No prior experience is necessary.
DRESSCODE / WHAT TO BRING
Please dress for the weather and remember it can be cool when gliding. Don't forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and your camera.

Our pilots are fully qualified instructors or charter pilots and we are accredited with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and the Gliding Federation of Australia (GFA). Gliding, as with all forms of flying has inherent dangers and you will be required to sign a waiver prior to flying.
