Join the Tin City Sand Dune Adventure Tour for two hours of 4WD adventure across the sand dunes in one of our all-purpose designed 4WD Hummers or 21-seater 4WD buses. After an exciting 20 minutes drive across the sand dune you will find 'Tin City' emerging out the sand dunes like a mirage!
It all began in the late 1800's when two tin huts were built to store provisions for shipwrecked sailors (there are some 98 shipwrecks between Newcastle and Port Stephens). In the 1930's Great Depression 'Tin City' grew to 14 huts.
A number of movies have been made at this location, including parts of Mad Max. The pub still stands!
Other activities on this tour are Sandboarding, visiting the 'Pyramids' an old WWII site, and Pipi Catch and Release.

GUIDELINES
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Family rates are applicable for 2 adults and 2 children aged between 4 and 12 years of age. Children 3 years and under travel free.

Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear. Dress to the weather on the day and remember to bring your camera, sunscreen and a hat.
