Your Formula Ford Race Car Exeprience begins with a session on learning how to operate the controls of the single-seat racing car—the lay-back driving position, the stubby, right hand 4 speed gearshift with non-synchromesh down-changes.
After a short familiarisation session to check out the track layout, it’s on to the circuit for some sensational high speed laps to enjoy the sensations of driving an open-wheel racing car for the first time, all the while under the watchful eyes of instructors. As you build up your laps you will develop the feel of the car and the flowing sequence of corners on this brilliant track.
Begin the day with a safety briefing and drive instructions, including explanation of the vehicle, handling tips, braking and turn in points, and the racing line.
Follow this up with driver coaching in a road car, doing sighting laps to familiarise yourself with the track.
Climb behind the wheel of a fully-fledged, single-seat, European-specification Zetec-engine Formula Ford!
Put the pedal to the metal and speed your way around a real racing track!
You get to drive the car – so you get all the thrills!
All safety equipment provided, including helmet, boots, gloves and race suit.

PARTICIPANTS
MINIMUM / MAXIMUM NUMBERS
You will be in the car on your own and there may be up to 16 people in a session sharing four cars. A maximum of 4 racing cars will be on the track. There will be an instructor trackside who will manage each team of 4 drivers.
GUIDELINES
Drivers must be familiar with the use of a conventional manual transmission and have habitually driven such vehicles. A licence is not required but drivers must be over 17 years. Of course you will be required to sign a waiver and vehicle indemnity agreement on the day.
DRESSCODE / WHAT TO BRING
Safety helmets, gloves, boots and race suits are provided.
OTHER
The engine is just behind you and this allows you to co-ordinate the gear changes in the racing gearbox with ease. The sensations of seeing the front wheels respond to your slightest command and the car following precisely is an experience never to be forgotten.
You will have plenty of time to familiarise yourself with the cars before you take to the racing circuit. You do not have to hold a racing licence from the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport to drive our Formula Fords.
