On this great morning out, you’ll see southern humpbacks rest and play in the warm, calm waters of the Great Sandy Strait. A whale watching trip aboard Quick Cat II is likely to be a family affair.
Our Quick Cat II is equipped with a hydrophone, allowing guests to listen to the live underwater sounds of the male humpback composers and an underwater viewing camera, which beams images onto screens around the boat.
The lifecycle of the Southern Humpback whale brings them into the Fraser Coast, Australia’s top whale watching destination, where they rest and socialise in the sheltered lee of Fraser Island, many staying for as long as five days, some staying for only a day.
You will also get to enjoy a wonderful homemade morning tea. A children’s activity booklet, There is also whale information available in English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
