One Day Single Rope Technique Course - Rock Climbing & AbseilingIf you're interested in climbing, caving or abseiling, or like working in a vertical environment, this course is for you! We adopt a practical approach to teaching you essential rope work skills such as knot tying, rigging and self rescue, using a minimum amount of lightweight equipment.

We provide very experienced instructors with a great 1:6 ratio that enhances the learning environment, safety and quality of your experience throughout the day.

Have you heard of the terms 'lock-offs', 'self-rescue', 'one-on-one rescue' or 'change overs'? Ever wondered how to climb back up a rope when caught in space on an overhang, or abseil past the point where two ropes are joined? When securing an anchoring system, are you sure that those knots you've tied aren't going to let you down, and that the belay anchors will do the job you ask of them?

The Single Rope Techniques (SRT) course is designed to teach you all this and more. It builds on your basic roping skills and experience and at the conclusion of the program you will have the answers to all these questions and be able to manage yourself safely and confidently in a vertical environment.

The One-Day Single Rope Technique course is structured to allow the maximum amount of hands-on time possible and to be flexible to your skill levels and requirements. Constant feedback on your development will be given throughout the course including a summary of progress at the conclusion of the program.
