Walk 40m high amongst the treetops at the Tahune Forest Airwalk, then head underground into one of Australia’s most amazing caves. Bring your swim gear for a dip in the Thermal Pools. This is a spectacular day travelling through Tasmania’s Huon Valley & Southern Forests.
We head South of Hobart into the Huon Valley and Southern Forests taking in a huge day of natural attractions. At Tahune Airwalk we explore the beautiful forest and river walks but the main attraction is the cantilever perched above the forest - walk 40m high amongst the treetops and check out the amazing views across the Southern Tasmanian forests and World Heritage Area.
Our day continues further south to Hastings Caves. Now we head underground into Australia’s largest tourist Dolomite Cave. National Parks staff take us on a guided cave tour. The temperature inside the cave is a constant 9 degrees (remember a jumper).
We have time to relax and enjoy the beautiful forest surrounds and you can take a dip in the Thermal Springs Pool. Bring your swim gear – the water is always 28 degrees. This is a fun, diverse and spectacular day travelling through the southern end of Tasmania.

No meals are included. You may bring your lunch with you or we will stop to give you an opportunity to purchase your lunch on the day. Day pack, camera, comfortable, sturdy footwear, warm jumper, rainjacket, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottle. The weather can change quickly; we always recommend bringing a warm jumper and a rain jacket … just in case!
