This two day wildlife adventure of the Gippsland Region will bring you back to nature’s wonders! This extensive ecological tour of the Victorian coastline will provide views of Austalia's native wildlife up close and personal in their natural habitat. With must see spectacles such as the Penguin Parade and the pure natural beauty of Wilsons Promontory this tour is certain not to disappoint.
Day 1:
The first attraction on the tour is a visit to the magical Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park. This wildlife sanctuary is an excellent opportunity to see some of Australia's native creatures like wombats, koalas, kangaroos and dingoes - in their natural habitat! With the chance to hand feed some of the animals this experience is perfect for families. After departing from the magic of Moonlit Sanctuary there will be time for lunch before the tour continues on to Churchill Island.
Here you can explore the history behind one of Victoria's renowned landmarks. View a sheep shearer showcase his abilities in a personal demonstration and gain valuable insight into the indigenous history behind the area. There is also time for a visit to the Koala Conservation Centre, another example of the fantastic ecological attractions that await you. After cuddling and hand feeding a koala the tour continues onwards to Cape Woolamai Surf Beach.
Feel the sand between your toes as you enjoy some of the spectacular views on offer at this well known tourist attraction. Catch a glimpse of the Nobbie and Seal Rocks as you watch the seals playing in the water. Be sure to bring a camera as these playful creatures act as a perfect memento for future reference. At dusk you will have the opportunity to watch the Penguin Parade as hundreds of tiny penguins scramble across the shore to their sandy burrows. Upgrade to the Penguins Plus package to gain access to an exclusive viewing platform and the Private Penguin Parade for access to both the viewing platform and food and beverages. Tonight you will stay over in shared accommodation on the island. (D)
Day 2:
You will spend your second day getting acquainted with the mystical beauty of Wilsons Promontory National Park. Here you can see kangaroos and emus only metres away in their natural habitat. Take advantage of the park's intricate and worthwhile hiking trails where you will reach lookout points that monitor the entire coastline - a truly fantastic sight to behold. To cap off the afternoon you can take a walk on Squeaky Beach to Tidal River, marching to the sound of your own feet in the sandy white shores.
The Phillip Island and Wilsons Promontory tour allows participants to see the balance between the beauty of both the wildlife and nature for a spectacular experience certain not to be soon forgotten. (B)
