Arriving at the departure point, participants will be greeted by their friendly and experienced stand up paddle boarding instructor. Once you are equipped with all the necessary gear it's straight into the water for an introductory stand up paddle board lesson. With the aid of your knowledgeable instructor you will be assured to be paddle boarding like a pro in no time.
Once you've built up some confidence on the board it's only a short paddle out to the breakwater to learn about the majestic little marine birds that fly through the water instead of the air! See the penguins swim up towards the breakwater and nest in burrows underneath or behind rocks, unlike the penguins at Phillip Island who make burrows in the sand. Learn about why the penguins are nesting in urban St Kilda despite being only 10km away from a major city!
