Fitzroy Island is one of 600 "Continental" or "High" islands on the Great Barrier Reef which means it used to be part of the mainland before rising waters separated this tranquil paradise. Over time a fringing coral reef surrounded the island, providing a sheltered home for a variety of fish and coral species.
Keeping to the calm waters of the coastline and passing spectacular scenery along the way, your ferry cruise to the island by fast catamaran takes just 45 minutes.
Once you arrive, this package gives you plenty of free time to explore the island. Activities on Fitzroy Island include kayaking, snorkelling, exploring the rainforest along many walking trails or just relaxing on the beautiful beaches.

GUIDELINES
Fitzroy Island Day Trips are available for anyone, there is no experience or health requirements for this experience.
All children though must be accommpanied by an adult or guardian 18 yrs and over when travelling to the Island.
Child Age: 4-14 years
DRESSCODE / WHAT TO BRING
Participants are encouraged to prepared for the trip as they would for a day at the beach.
OTHER
There is a $5 per person Pay on Board fee/levy for insurance charges, port fees, fuel surcharges, administration charges & GST. This fee can be paid on the day of the trip.
As lunch is not included on this trip, participants will need to bring money along with them if they wish to buy lunch on the island.
