Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Devonport - King Island

You will be transferred to Devonport Airport for your flight to King Island. Our tour will take us to the King Island Dairy. Afterwards we visit Yellow Rock Beach to learn how the paddle-steamer Shannon, once the pride of the Murray River, came to grief here. We'll see Cape Wickham Lighthouse, then visit fresh-water Penny's Lagoon and Martha Lavinia Beach, a shell collector's paradise. Hotel: Boomerang by the Sea, King Island, 2 nights.

Day 2: Grassy - Naracoopa

Our full day tour includes the south and east of the Island and begins with the Calcified Forest, the remains of which are up to 7,000 years old. We drive to Seal Rocks to see colonies of little penguins and mutton birds and a diverse range of other bird and animal life. Visit Grassy, once a mining town and the principal port for the island. Next stop is the quiet hamlet of Naracoopa to view Seal Elephant Bay and the Blowhole. You'll have time to explore the new art gallery. Our final stop is City of Melbourne Bay. Day 3: King Island - Melbourne

You will be transferred to King Island Airport for your flight to Melbourne. CB
