If you have always wanted to visit the amazing Mitchell Plateau you will love our Mitchell Falls Explorer - Plane, Heli, Walk Combo. This wonderful tour departs from Kununurra and flys over Emma Gorge and El Questro. We also fly past the Cockburn Range, Home Valley Station and over Drysdale River National Park. Then we land at the Mitchell Plateau Airstrip where will will hop onto the helicopter for a scenic flight over Mitchell Falls. This is an absolutely awe inspiring tour.
On reaching Mitchel Falls we will drop you off for a two hour self-guided walk. You will be sent off with a hearty pre-packed snack so you can enjoy your time exploring. Swim, photograph the spectacular surroundings and enjoy the magic of the Mitchell Falls. You will then enjoy another helicopter flight back to the Mitchell Plateau airstrip.
Next we will reboard the aeroplane where we will follow the north Kimberley coast for breathtaking views of Port Warrender, Kalumburu, King George Falls, Berkeley River Gorge, Cambridge Gult and Adolphus Island. We will follow the Ord River upstream and fly over the farms of the Ord Irrigation area before arriving back at Kununurra.
This tour includes small backpack with food, water, 1st aid kit and a map.

All flights are confirmed with a minimum of 2 passengers. Single passengers are welcome; however the flight is not confirmed until a second passenger is travelling. Please enquire as we are flexible.
GUIDELINES
Infants are classified as 0-2 years, and may travel free of charge, on their parent’s lap. Please note that only one infant may travel unrestrained per aircraft. Children classified as 3 – 12 years of age inclusive, must be accompanied by an adult on the flight. Passengers must be at the aircraft embarkation point 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Please advise us if you have any dietary requirements (eg, vegetarian).
The walking area at the Mitchell Falls is classified as an Unmarked Route up to “Class 6” level of difficulty of Australian Standard AS 2156.1-2001 - Walk Trails, Class 6. General Description: Opportunity for highly experienced walkers to explore remote and challenging natural areas without reliance on managed tracks. Key Track Characteristics: No modification of the natural environment. May include steep sections of unmodified surfaces. Facilities generally not provided. Users require previous experience in the outdoors and a high level of specialised skills, such as navigation skills. Users need to be self-reliant, particularly in regard to emergency first-aid and possible weather hazards.
