During our tour of the Barossa Valley you will be able to explore, discover and indulge in the many riches of the Barossa, whilst enjoying the Fruits of the Vine along the way. Rich in European history and tradition, combined with over 160 years of viticulture experience, is it any wonder that the Barossa Valley is Australia’s foremost wine producing region.
Your personalised tour will depart at 9.00 am will travel via the most scenic of avenues, the picturesque Torrens Gorge. As you leave the Gorge, watch the rugged cliffs melt into lush fruit laden vineyards.
Basking in a warmer climate, the Barossa is famous for its medium to full bodied table wines, principally produced from red grape varieties with Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon heading the list, along with Chardonnay and Semillon, the popular white grape varieties.
You will be able to savour wines, each bursting with abundant character, as you seduce the palate with a selection of wine styles from the regions most inviting cellar doors. We will continue the temptation with our talented regional chefs who will prepare your lunch at one of the regions idyllic country restaurants.
Moving from the modern to the traditional, the historic Seppeltsfield Winery is an impressive facility. Your journey will step back in time, as our tour takes you behind-the-scenes into the Seppelt family homestead and vintage cellars where barrels of wine continue to age gracefully to maturity.
Your privileged entry provides a tutored tasting of super premium and fortified wines not normally available to cellar door visitors. Arousing in every way, this is your chance to taste ‘liquid history’ as you appraise a rare 100 year old port. You be the Judge!
