Northern Territory Fishing Licences and Restrictions

You are not required to have a fishing licence for recreational fishing in Northern Territory. There are however restrictions imposed regarding the amount of fish you may take from the water ways and the minimum size those fish must be.

You are not permitted, in Northern Territory, to sell any fish you catch. The general possession limit for persons in the Northern Territory is 30 fish per person. There are however, excluded species including crabs, prawns, bait fish and more.
