Anyone for a bit of the bubbly?

My friend and me had just arrived at a resort in Airlie Beach. After a fifteen minute walk into town in the thirty-something heat we decided to grab a bottle of wine from the local bottle shop and head back to the resort for a swim in the pool.

After a quick dip we decided to pop the bottle open to start our holiday. There was only one problem we didn't have a bottle opener and there wasn't one in our room.

Our only option was to go down to the resort bar and ask the bar tender to open it for us, the only problem with this was it was four in the afternoon and there were families all still swimming around the pool/bar area.

With great pursuasion i talked my friend into going to the bar. A few minutes later she returned she said she got down there and couldn't ask.

I talked her into going back down again. Roughly five minutes later my friend came flying through the room door and starting rolling around on the bed absolutely wetting herself laughing. When I finally calmed her down I asked what was so funny she said she got to the bar got the bottle opened and then headed back up to the room.

The only problem was as we had only not long arrived she forgot what room we were in and started knocking on the wrong door with an opened bottle of wine saying come on let me in and this was four in the afternoon.

Luckily no one opened the door or they were hiding behind it but that was a great starter to a great holiday experience.

1).

that reminds me of a story that has happened to me a couple of years ago on my trip through australia.

I left my shoes in front of our door and while I was grabbing them, the door closed and I was standing outside.

My friend was sleeping and did not notice me knocking on the door.

So I had to go down to the receptionist asking if she could open the door for me

and I was standing there in my nighty!!!!!!! ;-)
