on my honey-moon

Well for my honey-moon my hubby and i went to kangaroo island.
While there we stayed at American river.
One fine day we decided to go fishing . so we headed to the local jetty. Now the slats on this jetty are widely spaced. My rod wasn't set up yet so i leaned it against a rail, but i didn't know that the top half of the rod wasn't tied to the botton half and that it was just slid through the eyelets. The top half of the rod slid through the gap in the jetty and to the bottom of the reef. It wasn't that deep so i called my hubby over to see if he could see it as we spotted it on the sandy bottem my hubby's keys slid out of his pocket and through the gap as well.
Well it was the begginging of April and not too warm but still my hubby jumped into the water to try and get the keys. It was hard to see them and after a while some locals helped us by lending us there diving mask. But the tide was comming in very fast. after a few attempts failed i jumped in as well. we tried scalling down the legs of the jetty but it was just too deep. The locals ran over to the fishing club and borrowed a diving bell with rope. At this time swarms of giant pink jelly fish were around the jetty and we were all cut up form climbing down the legs but finally after about two hours of trying we got the keys back.
Two days later we went back to the spot to take some pictures of where we lost the keys. The tide was a fair way out and there just a few meteres in was the end of the rod. So into the water again my hubby went and success we had the tip of the rod back. But we never did go fishing at American river again. And to add insult to injury when we got back we both had to have tetnus shots.
