Wagga Wagg go round!

After attending our nephew's Wagga wedding, we leave the reception to rush back with our kids to Melbuorne to board the Spirit of Tasmania to go home. It was pitch black dark and raining and after receiveing directions we left at 10pm for Melbourne. After travelling for several hours we began to notice the signpost did not say anything about Mlebourne, but Sydney. We went as far as where Sir Donald Bradman had lived and we had passed Cootamundra. We panicked it was really late and our boat sailed by 9am the next morning. After finding a road that got smaller and smaller and eventually turned into a dirt track - literally, we kne we were totally lost and had to try to turn around and find our way back. We did. We got back to Wagga at 3am int he morning and started again - this time in the right direction. Anyone who travels this road knows we had our work cut out to make it - let alone make it sanely and safely. Well, so I don't get booked for anything, lets just say we made it, and rang ahead to the boat, who waited for us and we got there at 9:15am and our accommodation was upgraded. When I finally got to our cabin, my legs collapsed from under me. Our daughter cried her eyes out and I joined her. Our son, who selpt through it all wondered what all the fuss was. My husband, well lets just say he needed ulcer attention.
