Hi, my name is gerry and traveling is new to me, i want to cover all avenues on my first trip and have heard alot about satellite phones from people, do they work well in the outback and are they a must have on your list?
Do they cost much to make calls etc?

1).
Satellite phones are very very important, this gives you the ability to call for help in case of an emergency almost anywhere you are in your travels. And Yes they work well in the outback probably better then any other form of communication apart from a hard-wired land line.
