Lemair 2.2 washing machine for caravan

I am looking at installing a Lemair washing machine in my caravan, 2.2 capacity but could some advise who has one the amount of articles that will fit in the bowl eg 2 towels ??,are you able to fill bowl to top of bowl with items and what laundry detergent you recommend and have you had a problem with soap and dirt slug staying in the machine and staining white clothes and what cycles you recommend.

Thank You

Wilma

1).

We bought the Lemair 2.2 washing machine to put into a 5th wheeler last year. Its the best thing I have bought. To was properly I think 2 large towels, or 1 queen bed sheet and 2 pillowcases, or 2 of my husbands work shirts, 2 shorts and 2 pairs of socks.
Sometimes you have to do a few loads but it takes around 17 minutes, I recommend a liquid detergent as the cycles are fast and it disolves quickly. Im sure you wouldnt be sorry. I made the mistake of buying from a caravan shop for $345, I have since seen them for $299 in the good guys, i think caravan shops and RV shows are most expensive. Good for ideas but try to buy elsewhere. Goodluck.

We bought the 2.2kg lemair washing machine and it lasted 7 weeks before the water kept pumping out. We took it to the accredited repairer and its been there 3 weeks. We rang and asked him why its taking so long and he said lemair were notoriously slow when it came to getting parts. Will never buy another one.

We bought this machine 3 years ago second hand. It gets bundled into our car to take camping in our camper trailer several times a year & is now also my main washing machine at home - to save water. It has never missed a beat & the thing I like about it is that it doesn't need to be plumbed in to use it. When camping I fill it with 3 buckets of water (easy) & it just stops & waits for more water for the rinses. It just needs a sullage hose for the outgoing water & that's easy. Best thing I ever bought!

Purchased new van in Feb 2011 fitted with Lamair 2.2kg washing machine. The hinge snapped on the lid in May 2011. Contacted Lamair service in Sydney and was advised that the lid only had 1 month warranty and the rest of the machine had 12 months. Pretty poor backup. Am completely disgusted in product warranty and will never buy another Lamiar product.
