Since all I know is from books, I have no clue if I'm pronouncin g things right. So, what is the correct pronunciation for Kakadu KA-ka-doo? Ka-KA-doo? Ka-ka-DOO?), Uluru,Mt. Hagen (Hay-gen? Hah-gen?) Gagudju. THanks. I could help me not sound too stupid when I get off the plane. (I'm from the US)

Well I'm not sure about the others myself, but Kakadu is pronounced:
Ka (short a sound, as in 'cat')
ka (short u sound, as in 'up')
du (pronounced 'do')
And just incase you were wondering, all the u's in Uluru are pronounced 'ooo'.

Vaughan is correct where Uluru and Kakadu are concerned. As far as I'm aware, Mt Hagen is Hah-g'n.
