Alexander Morrison National Park

Alexander Morrison National Park is 8,501 hectares, located 230 kilometres north of Perth on the central west coast sandplain.

The park is mainly low scrub and heath on undulating sandplain hills. Interspersed among these are rocky outcrops. Small streams have also cut across the landscape.



Best time to visit the park is winter to early summer. Wildflowers are excellent in season. Tall eucalypts grow along stream beds. Malley thickets are also quite common through the park. Heathland birds and mammals.

No camping is provided for but discreet camping is possible after consultation with the ranger. Ground fires are not permitted. Supplies can be obtained from the township of Coorow. No picnic sites are allocated.

Walking is possible but no actual trails are marked out. Any water required must be supplied and carried by visitor.
