Visit a working museum and the home to Australia's oldest operating steam locomotive, built in 1878.
See Australia's largest and most powerful steam engine.
Canberra Railway Museum contains a variety of exhibits. Their railway yard houses locomotives, rail motors, passenger cars, freight cars and track-maintenance vehicles.
Join a guided tour to see a selection of their rolling stock. Take part in a workshop inspection. On the last Sunday of the month, rail motor rides operate from the Museum platform and the nearby Kingston Miniature Railway through the grounds of the Museum.
