Margan (Best Restaurant, Tourism NSW and Hunter) and Cellar Door/Winery (Best Cellar Door finalist, Tourism Hunter) are located in the peaceful rural village of Broke Hunter Valley, where Margan provides customers with a unique and complete food and wine tourism experience.



Margan was established in 1997 by husband and wife Lisa and Andrew Margan, and is proud to be considered a leading premium Hunter Valley wine producer.

Enjoy a relaxed, stylish lunch or dinner in the award winning Margan Restaurant with a focus on simple Mediterranean inspired cuisine. Food is sourced locally and from the one acre Margan Kitchen Garden. The restaurant has also been awarded 'Green Table' by Restaurant and Catering,

Margan Winery has been rated 5 Stars by James Halliday for the last five years, and offers free tastings of current release wines in our fabulous rammed earth cellar door.

Public Holiday: Restaurant usually open public holiday Mondays but ring for booking. Cellar door and restaurant closed Christmas Day and New Years Day. ...... Cellar door: open daily 10am to 5pm. Restaurant: open for lunch and dinner - Friday and Saturday, breakfast and lunch - Sunday. Opening time is 1:0am. Closing time is 5:am.

Children Friendly

Children welcome. Large grassed area for play. Chickens to feed, eggs to collect. Sheep grazing in the paddock. Sightings of kangaroos grazing.
