This amazing national park is one of the largest in New South Wales. Established in 1972, it lies in the north-westernmost corner of the state near the town of Tibooburra. 'The Dog Fence', the longest fence in the world and spanning three states, runs along the northern and western boundaries of the park.
Walk to 'Sturt's Tree' across Lake Pinnaroo and try to imagine what it might have been like for the first European explorers visiting Wangkumara country.
An abundance of kangaroos, emus, eagles, falcons and many different parrots may be seen. Enjoy the many walks or stop and quietly absorb this fragile and beautiful landscape.
