OverviewThe Great River Walk at Penrith has beautiful views of the Nepean River and Blue Mountains. The walk winds northward from Penrith Weir to Cassola Place
is approximately a two kilometre return walk, and can be added to the seven kilometres of existing Bridge to Bridge Loop Walk.
The Great River Walk follows the Hawkesbury-Nepean River from its source near Goulburn to its mouth at Broken Bay. The section of walk at Penrith
includes a pedestrian and cycle path, a boardwalk and a bridge, which traverse an otherwise inaccessible area. This walk enables visitors to experience the
Nepean's beauty from a new vantage point. Families can come down to the river, have a picnic and enjoy a fantastic walk.
Toilets, parking, picnic tables, large shady trees and maintained grassed areas at Weir Reserve on Bruce Neale Drive, Tench Reserve on Tench Avenue
