Abercrombie Caves

Overview

Abercrombie Caves, situated approximately one hours drive south-west of Oberon offers visitors the opportunity to explore a cave system in a laid back, natural environment.

Get away from the hype of the major tourist attractions to enjoy the silence of the Australian bush.

See kangaroos, wallabies and if you are lucky a wombat or platypus in a largely unspoilt native environment.

Take a self-guided tour or join one of the experienced National Parks and Wildlife guides on a tour.

Take the family camping, explore the bush at night as it comes alive with nocturnal animals.

Grab the sleeping bags from the tent and try your skill at astronomy. There is an amenities block with toilets and hot showers.

Gas/Electric barbeques and picnic tables are available.

Fishing and swimming are permitted in the Abercrombie River, so pack your swimmers and fishing gear.



A Kiosk is available which sells basic amenities.

There is no fuel available.

No domestic pets or firearms permitted.

Children Friendly

This is a great opportunity to introduce the family to camping in a safe area only three hours from Sydney.
