Abercrombie River National Park

Natural Attractions, National Parks and Reserves, Scenic Drives and Walks, Sports and Recreation Facilities

Overview

The Abercrombie River National Park presents a great opportunity to leave it all behind and get back to basics. Situated between Oberon and Taralga along the fully sealed Tablelands Way, the park offers swimming, canoeing, fishing, and exploring the native flora and fauna.

Car-based camping is available at Silent Creek, The Sink (Retreat River), The Beach (Abercrombie River) and Bummaroo Ford.

A 4WD is required for all sections of the park with the exception of Bummaroo Ford. Drivers should be experienced and drive according to the conditions.

It is recommended that visitors check weather conditions and fire bans prior to visiting the park.

There are pit toilets, but no other facilities.

It is recommended visitors take adequate drinking water and fuel.

Domestic animals and firearms are not permitted.
