Great fishing can be found near Cooladdi, at Quilberry Creek (an Aboriginal word meaning 'plenty of water') on the way to the Opal Fields on the Quilpie Road. Located near the Cooladdi Fox Trap, fishing couldn't be easier, all you need to do is turn up, throw your line in, sit back and relax. Species found in the Creek include, Yellow Belly, Black Brim, Jew Fish and Murray Cod.
