The old Parramatta River Railway Bridge at Meadowbank has been converted for pedestrian/cycle use. The cast iron bridge was fabricated in England and erected in 1886. It carried trains until 1980 when a new parallel railway bridge was built. The old bridge was opened for pedestrian and cycle use in 2000.
