Popular 4WD Destinations in Western Australia

Western Australia features spectacular locations for 4WD enthusiasts. The crystal clear coastal waters, the expansive riverways, National Parks and rocky headlands all contribute to the fun and adventure on offer in this great State. Take time to swim, have picnics, walk the trails and surf while on your four wheel driving holiday.

Coral Bay * The area along the Coral Coast features a variety of attractions for the 4WD enthusiast and his/her family. The beautiful waters of Coral Bay are accompanied by a huge array of marine life where you can fish, swim or simply observe.

There is a great coral reef in the area at the Ningaloo Marine Park. Also on the Coral Coast is the Cape Range National Park, featuring some good camping spots, the interesting Yardie Creek Gorge and some must-do walking trails.

* Looking for an easy 4WD track, how about visiting the area in and around the Lane Poole Reserve. Running along side the Murray River, the reserve offers you a number of camping spots, swimming areas and canoeing. In the area is the King Jarrah tree, which is over 500 years old. This is worth a look and also has a nice picnic area and walking trails.

The Pinnacles* The area between Lancelin and Cervantes incorporates the Nambung National Park and several other nature reserves. The nature reserves in this area showcase some of Australia's best wildlife and are great places to explore. The National Park is a fantastic place to take your 4WD for a spin whilst taking in the amazing sights.

There are some good four wheel driving tracks in the area. The beautiful coastline also offers the visitor good spots for fishing and surfing. Just past the Nambung National Park is the famous Pinnacles Desert - a real must see.

Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park* The area between Cape Leeuwin and Cape Naturaliste, incorporating the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, is a popular destination for four wheel drivers of all ages. There is a lot of fun to be had when visiting this area.

There are some great 4WD tracks that the whole family can enjoy, beautiful coastline to explore and there are some awesome spots for surfing and camping. All in all, this is a fantastic destination to visit on your next 4WD holiday.
