Barraba

On the Fossickers Way, Barraba is rich in mineral deposits and is a popular destination for bushwalking and fossicking. Barraba is surrounded by the magnificent mountain scenery. Ideal as a base for exploring the Nandewar Mountains, Barraba is a short drive from Split Rock Dam, The Three Creeks Gold Mine and Mount Kaputar National Park. As an agricultural and pastoral centre, Barraba is known for its wheat, wool, sheep, cattle and cashmere and mohair goats.
