Blayney Shire has much to offer a visitor. Rich in history, attractions and friendly people. You can visit well preserved historic villages, see magnificent country homesteads, tour interesting museums, inspect historic buildings and view nature at its best. Clean country air, a central location and four distinct seasons make a tour or holiday a worthwhile experience.

Tourist attractions in the Blayney Area include the Blayney Wind Farm: the construction of the largest of its type in NSW. A viewing platform and interpretive centre are on the shores Carcoar Dam. The area boasts the historical villages of Millthorpe, Carcoar, Newbridge, Neville, Lyndhurst and Mandurama.

Most of the townships were settled in the early 1800's and as a consequence historical shop fronts, worker's cottage, bluestone churches and grand townhouses make a visit to these villages a trip back in history. Village cafes and gift shops are open to visitors at weekends and some days during the week.
