Kimberley Discoverer Scenic Flight with Lunch
Kimberley Panorama with a tour at Kalumburu and lunch at Drysdale River Station. This is a great tour for all and a must do experience.
The only way to see the remote northern coastline of Western Australia is by air. Our route to Kalumburu Aboriginal Community and the Mitchell Plateau takes you over tidal mud flats, mangrove systems, waterfalls and deep gorges. This is a must do flight!
Flying North West from Kununurra, our flight path takes in the Ord River Irrigation Area, Lower Ord River, Carlton Hill & Ivanhoe Stations, Wyndham, Cambridge Gulf and Adolphus Island before reaching the coast. We then take you over the Berkeley River Gorge, King George Falls, Kalumburu Aboriginal Community and Crystal Head.
We land at the Mitchell Plateau airstrip to stretch our legs and have a drink and snack before becoming airborne again to make sweeping orbits of the Mitchell Falls and Mertens Gorge. Departing the Mitchell Falls we follow the Moran River to Drysdale River Station, a remote cattle station which also welcomes tourists. For lunch try the real Kimberley beef burger! Return to Kununurra via El Questro and Emma Gorge with memorable views of the afternoon sun on the western walls of the Cockburn Range. Lunch is included.
