Day 1: Ayers Rock Resort
On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 2.00pm). Travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as the sun sets over the western horizon. Continue to our exclusive venue to enjoy an Australian barbecue dinner including steak, sausages, kangaroo meat, salads and sparkling wine. There is time for stargazing too (weather permitting). D

Day 2: Sunrise at Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Rise early this morning to travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area to watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight. For those with a good level of fitness there is the opportunity to climb Uluru. If you choose not to climb Uluru after sunrise, you will join your AAT Kings Driver Guide for a tour around the base of Uluru. Travel by coach to the Mutitjulu Walk where you will be escorted to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole.
View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area as your Driver Guide indicates some native flora and explains the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Later visit the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) where your Driver Guide will explain the geological history of these giant domes. Your guide will then escort you on a 2-3 hour walk to the Valley of the Winds Lookout. Later take in a magnificent outback sunset at Kata Tjuta while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine.
Day 3: Ayers Rock Resort - Kings Canyon
This morning is at leisure. In the afternoon travel through spectacular desert scenery to Kings Canyon Resort. Pass through Curtin Springs and view Atila (Mt. Conner). On arrival there may be time to watch the sun set behind Carmichael's Crag.

Day 4: Kings Canyon - Alice Springs
This morning make the climb to the rim of the canyon, where you will be rewarded with marvellous views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness). Continue the 3 hour walk around the canyon with your guide as you hear and learn about the geology and history of this amazing formation. Alternatively, take the more leisurely 1Â½ hour walk along the boulder-strewn canyon floor. Return to Kings Canyon Resort for lunch (own expense). Travel through beautiful desert landscapes from Kings Canyon Resort to Alice Springs by luxury coach. Stop at Mt. Ebenezer Roadhouse for the opportunity to purchase afternoon tea. Take a wander through the Aboriginal Art Gallery to see some locally made craft. Arrive in Alice Springs at approximately 7.00pm.

Day 5: Palm Valley
This 4WD Safari travels through the West MacDonnell Ranges down the bed of the Finke River, one of the oldest watercourses in the world, into Palm Valley. Marvel at spectacular rock forms, white sands and an oasis of rock pools and palm trees. Visit the spectacular rock formation known as the Amphitheatre. Enjoy a picnic lunch within Finke Gorge National Park. We'll visit Hermannsburg*, an Aboriginal community and historic precinct which is renowned for its Aboriginal art collection and the works of Albert Namatjira. On the return journey to Alice Springs watch the changing colours of the West MacDonnell Ranges in the afternoon sunlight. (Morning or afternoon tea is included). L
Day 6: Depart Alice Springs
Your tour concludes this morning. If you wish to extend your stay there is a range of Alice Spring's Day Tours and Experiences to Remember, such as hot air ballooning or scenic helicopter flights.
