I'm going to be 4WDing through QLD in a few months. Where should I go for some great 4WDing?

Queensland National Parks rip off people by charging them to drive on sand, don't pay

Cape York!!! It's one of the most famous four wheel drive destinations in Australia! However it requires some extra planning as it is a little more remote than a lot of other destinations, and also there are alcohol restrictions in places that can be avoided.

Tropical Far North Queensland... Cape York Peninsula... Take the drive to the tip of Australia. You won't regret it!!! It is a 4WD mecca... If you truly want to get somewhere you feel no one has ever been before this is the adventure holiday for you... The diverse landscape and picturesque scenery will capture your imagination and keep you wanting more... Why not take your 4wd and experience for yourself... this untouched wilderness...

Well there are so many 4x4 spots in QLD, i know most of the southern QLD spots. There is dirt and sand on offer.

If you want to 4x4 in the dirt and mud then Black duck and Landcruiser park. These are two great 4x4 parks that you are guaranteed to have fun in. There is also place on the goldocast like Burleigh and pacific pines and ormeau. These are also a lot of fun. Rover Park is also located in teh southern end and is a hugecamping / 4x4 park.

On the other hand if you prefer 4WDriving in the sand then there are plenty of spots here. You have North and South Stradbroke Island. Fraser Island, Moreton Island, Rainbow Beach and Double Island Point just to name a few. Beach driving, fishing and camping is great. Hope that helps.

there's a place called 'the farm' which is camping/4wd and bikes at a place called blackbutt just short of 2 hrs n/west of brisbane (bunya mountains) its only known to a few as they don't advertise. the number is 07 4163 0108 its run by an older fella and he prefers you ring first. not a place if you want to hammer around but it has a few good hill climbs and plenty of tracks.
