Melbourne - Cairns & Darwin - Alice Springs done - what next?
I'm a european and I've visited Australia twice now. First time I went with family and we saw Melbourne and Sydney, aswell as Great Ocean Road, Blue Mountains and Fraser Island. Three years ago I came back to Australia with some friends and we rented a campervan and travelled from Melbourne - Sydney - Surfers Paradise - Brisbane - Fraser Island - Airlie Beach - Cairns and afterwards we flew to Darwin and saw Kakadu and Lichfield and drove all the way to Alice Springs/Uluru. Now I am set to have another four weeks in Australia with my girlfriend and I can't quite figure whether to show her all the amazing things I've witnessed on my journeys or whether it is time to go up the west coast (Perth-Broome). I was hoping that you guys could convince me to do/not to do either. It would also be great to know how much time you would estimate it would take to do a self-drive from Perth-Broome? Further I would like to know if Tasmania was worth our time as well?
Really looking forward to hearing your experiences!
