Ticks and taking my pet on holiday
I'm looking at taking my pet on holiday in a few weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can prepare my animal, do I need to be concerned about Ticks etc, what I should consider etc?

Female Ticks are the worst and August through February is the worst time of year for ticks.

My dog had a tick once, the way we found out was it's back legs got pretty weak and he kept sitting down all the time.
We found a little bump like a little growth or mole near his hear which we didn't remember feeling before. It turned out to be a tick, luckily we got him to a vets asap and he was fine afterwards.

Make sure you pet is up to date with it's Tick Treatment. Ticks can easily kill a cat or dog it's not worth the risk. Ticks just love areas like campsites and the countryside so be really careful in those areas even if treated.
