Centrally located in the Southern Riverina region of New South Wales, Urana Shire forms the hub of one of the richest wool, grain, fat lamb and beef-cattle growing areas of Australia. Traversed by Billabong, Yanco, Columbo and Urana Creeks, the Shire has numerous attractive, shaded settings for a refreshing break while travelling through to destinations further afield or in which to set up camp, if staying for a few days. These same creeks provide ideal locations for fishing and water skiing. Relax on the banks of the picturesque man made lake just outside of town.
