The Crackenback Range is located within Kosciuszko National Park and the outskirts of the Thredbo River Valley between Jindabyne and Thredbo.
Sitting at the base of the range is the alpine village of Thredbo, the Novotel Lake Crackenback Resort and Crackenback Farm Bed and Breakfast. Crackenback is not a locality or a township.
In the area there is plenty of winter and summer outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking and nature walks.
