Reef Adventure:

You'll spend Day One discovering the beauty and magnificence of the Outer Barrier Reef on the acclaimed Moore Reef cruise. Travel to the reef onboard luxury air-conditioned catamaran, then enjoy about four hours exploring the reef and getting up close and personal with more than 10,000 diverse marine inhabitants.

Rainforest Adventure:

On Day Two it's time to stay on land, starting with a breathtaking journey on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. You can explore the delights of Kuranda, the village in the rainforest, before being transferred by coach to Rainforestation Nature Park.

An amphibious Army Duck tour of the rainforest and tropical fruit orchard, the Koala and Wildlife Park, and the thrills of the Pamiagirri Aboriginal Dance performance and Dreamtime Walk ensure you'll have plenty to see and do.

Time for a relaxed tropical buffet barbecue lunch before heading back down the Kuranda Range in style, skimming the rainforest canopy onboard the award winning Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

Day 1 Cruise to Great Barrier Reef

We were picked up from our accommodation on 19/10/09. Our driver was on time and the driver (Japanese man) was professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the area. He showed and explained to us many places of interest while driving from Port Douglas to Cairns. The driver that afternoon was also professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Both were local and totally at ease with answering any query or question about the area.

The staff on the cruise were also polite, courteous and knowledgeable. Even though the weather was not the best and the trip to the reef was rough, the day was enjoyable. At all times you were made to feel at ease and treated with respect.

Day 2 was the Rainforest Adventure

Again the driver was polite, courteous and knowledgeable. Our itinerary was printed and handed to us at pickup. Every aspect of the day was explained. The Rainforestation was well planned as you were part of a small group. On pickup you were handed your itinerary for the park tour. Each guide was polite and courteous and spent time explaining their part of the park tour.
