Departing Melbourne we drive though the affluent Eastern suburbs and rise over the picturesque Dandenong ranges before making our way down into this historic wine region. Here we will visit the finest selection of wineries, and specialised local producers all carefully selected to provide you with a truly gourmet experience.

Our first stop is the National Trust Historic Gulf Station one of the oldest and most intact timber farms complexes in Australia. Built in the 1850s, the historic homestead is the heart of Gulf station. It is surrounded by many original outbuildings such as the barn, diary, school house and butcher shop. The station today still farms many of the rare breeds brought to Australia by our founding fathers. You will be immersed in the worldly charm of this fascinating period in Australia and experience how the Bell family lived and prospered more than 100 years ago.

Explore and sample at the Yarra Valley dairy which will make you wish there was no such thing as cholesterol, but a stroll around the area will help shed what you have enjoyed.

Experience the multi award winning Yering Station, one of Australia's most complete wine destinations. Explore the historic chateau and taste some truly exceptional wines.

Visit Moet & Chandon's Australian renowned production winery, Domaine Chandon and learn about the process by which all those little bubbles are packed inside the bottle to create the finest Australian sparkling wines. With privately tutored wine tasting included, you will experience a taste of the region's produce that would make even the locals salivate.

Our midday stop will be at the delightful McWilliams Lillydale winery for a truly gourmet Aussie barbeque matched to your selection from the extensive wine list, cooked to perfection by the local chef.

The afternoon is now yours to create in consultation with your guide who will recommend some of the area's outstanding wineries, matching your tastes to the extensive selections available.

At the end of the day, your private guide will return you to your accommodation or to your preferred restaurant or other destination. Transfers are in our luxuriously appointed vehicle with your own private guide.
