The abseiling is great in the Glasshouses! Located just 1 hour's drive North of Brisbane City. There are great beginner cliffs for abseiling and the summit is a real blast.
Your approximately 1/2 hour hike to the summit takes you through open eucalypt woodland and heath vegetation (several of which are of conservation significance).
Take in the views of the other Glasshouse Mountains such as Tibrogargen and Beerwah as we ascend Mt. Ngungun. Lunch is BYO as we stop on the top of Mt Ngungun to take in the 360 degree views before completing the final abseils for the day.
Below is an outline of our abseiling adventure:
Safety brief
Equipment familiarity
Demonstration of techniques (by the instructor)
Practice abseils
As many abseils on the main cliffs as you can fit in
Belay training, which is a way of securing the rope to prevent you from falling to the ground) on every abseil
Abseiling at the Glasshouse Mountains is the ultimate adrenaline rush!
