Rafting at Tully with Ferry Cruise to Fitzroy Island

Forget about reality for two exciting days with the Rafting at Tully with Ferry Cruise to Fitzroy Island experience. On Day 1 you will be taken to the stunning World Heritage Listed rainforest at Tully where grade 3-4 rapids await you. Day 2 of the this action packed experience you will be welcomed aboard the Fitzroy Flyer catamaran where you will journey to Fitzroy Island.

Day 1 will begin with collection from your Cairns, Northern Beaches or Mission Beach accommodation and travel south to the spectacular surroundings that await you. The Tully River is situated in stunning World Heritage Listed rainforest and offers an awesome day out rafting grade 3-4 rapids over 5 hours.

Expect the need to hold on at times on these moderate technical rapids, however no experience is necessary, most of your fellow rafters will never have rafted before. Training will be provide so if you have never rafted before you will be a pro by the end of our tuition. A sense of adventure is a must!

After your exciting adventure you will be able to enjoy a well earned barbeque lunch alongside the river bank with your fellow rafters.

Your adventure does not end just yet as you are treated to free transfers to the beautiful Fitzroy Island, with departure starting at 8.30 am. The ferry cruise to the island by fast catamaran takes only 45 minutes, keeping to the calm waters of the coastline and passing spectacular scenery along the way.

While you are visiting Fitzroy Island you can choose to take part in a number of activities that are available on the island. Try to fit in as much as you can before you have to return back to the mainland at 4.30 pm.

Snorkelling and kayaking equipment can easily be hired along the beach, or choose to wander around the island through one of the National Park walking tracks.
