2 Day Uluru Discovery Tour - Bushwalking, Nature & WildlifeThis 2 Day Uluru Discovery Tour visits Alice Springs, Ayers Rock and a camel farm. Also enjoy a sunrise over Ayers Rock, the Olgas, Walpa Gorge amd Mutitjulu Waterhole. This is great way to discover the Northern Territory's most unique locations.

Travel by Luxury air-conditioned Mercedes Benz and/or Scania coaches with an informative and experienced Driver guide who drives and commentates.

Day 1: Alice Springs - Uluru (Ayers Rock)

Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Stop at a camel farm for a camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Walk between the domes in Walpa Gorge, before travelling to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Watch the sun set and the changing colours of Uluru while enjoying complimentary wine.

Day 2: Uluṟu Sunrise & Base Tour

Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre and Uluṟu alight. Make your way to the viewing platform to see many kilometres into the distance, providing an ideal photo opportunity. After sunrise join your Guide for a drive around the base of Uluru. Then travel to the Mutitjulu Walk where you'll be escorted to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. This waterhole is a key source of water for the Aboriginal people in the area and has been in use for many thousands of years. See Aboriginal rock art and hear about the Aboriginal and European history of the area. Visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. It houses an amazing collection of original ceramics, paintings and punu (woodwork) that provide an insight into the unique and spiritual culture of the Anangu people, the traditional custodians of Uluru. In the afternoon you'll be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport (flights to depart after 12.30pm).

Budget Accommodation will be in a budget room at the Outback Pioneer. Standard Accommodation will be at the Outback Pioneer Hotel. Superior Accommodation will be at the Desert Gardens Hotel. First Class Accommodation will be at the Sails in the Desert Hotel.

Upgrade Option

You can select to upgrade the Uluru Sunrise and Base Tour to the Rising Sun Aṉangu Aboriginal Experience. Once you've taken in the breathtaking sunrise, you'll then travel to the Uluṟu – Kata Tjuṯa Cultural Centre. Along the way, your experienced Guide will describe the geology of Uluṟu, local flora and fauna, as well as provide an insight into the colourful history of the local people, the Aṉangu. On arrival, you'll have time to wander through the Cultural Centre and learn about the significance of Uluṟu – Kata Tjuṯa National Park as well as the many stories and legends of the Aṉangu people. You can also browse through the Aboriginal art galleries on site and afterwards we'll enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the Ininti Café with Uluṟu as your stunning backdrop.
