Galong is a small town in New South Wales, Australia located in Harden shire.

Galong village is the centre of an historical area which today is a major grain producer within the Shire. Galong's strong Irish background is embodied by its historical Cemetery - a Mecca for tourists.

The major industry in the town is the limestone open-cut mine. The Galong deposit was first mined in 1885 with significant mining activity in the 1920s producing burnt lime or quicklime, which is used in the production of cement.

Galong is hosting a Swap Meet and Craft Fair on Sunday 9 November 2014 at the Galong Oval McMahon St. Galong. Sites $10 each plus $15 insurance if required. Entry on the day is by gold coin donation. There will be a car display with a prize for peoples choice. Come and visit and find an early present for Christmas.
