We recently visited LA and decided to catch a bus from Hollywood to Santa Monica Pier. This required changing buses along the way. We asked our driver to advise us when we had to get off to catch the other bus, to which he said he would. We were surprised then when he stopped 15 mins later and said this was the end of the line and everybody had to get off. When we asked about our stop he said he had forgot and to walk around the corner to the bus stop there and catch the 217 (the same bus number we were on) back four blocks and jump on another bus going west. So we walked around the corner to the other bus stop and were surprised a few minutes later when the same bus(217) and same bus driver came around the corner to pick us up again. We cracked up laughing and as we boarded my husband made the comment "Love your work, mate". It was very funny and we eventually found our way.

1).
A lot of passengers are not aware that bus driving is like driving 4 cabs at a time because of its size that is not design for most of the road conditions. also there are at least an average of 20 passengers in a route and you'll be lucky if the driver can recall the address. the best is to get a cab and it will drop you in the very specific address you want to go to. Buses stops only at bus stops.
